I was able to taste this years Pliny the Younger (PTY) at Stone Garden. I have to say it's been a great experience drinking the beer at Stone. You don't have to wait in line for hours and you have a great chance to taste 4 or more pour that day whoo hoo!
More info on PTY visit Russian River Brewery!
PTY is a Triple IPA but it's not all that bitter. They cover the hoppiness of the beer with a sweetness which just make the beer very easy to drink. It's not for all, a few people complain it's way too sweet. If you have a chance to try it without going to Santa Rosa or waiting inline for hours definitely should taste it!
I still prefer my Pliny the Elder in a bottle. For some reason draft doesn't taste that great when it makes it down to San Diego. It's a beer you have to drink fresh!
2016 update:
I was able to get a few pints of PTY this year at
URGE Gastropub down in Rancho Bernardo. Walked right in no line which
was a great experience. This year PTY was less sweeter then last year, I enjoyed it a lot more this time around ;). Until next year PTY!

Stone GreenTea IPA
Here is a Collaboration Beer from Stone. (Japanese Green TEA IPA).
It paired well with Sushi actually a very interesting blend for a beer. Nice aroma of Green Tea not to over powering.
Also had a very interesting beer over at Urge Gastro Pub the other night. A sushi Rice, Yuzu Juice and Shiso flavored Beer made by Almanac Brewery.
Very interesting combination in a beer. I think the craft beer is tinkering with all sorts of weird combination in our beer. Which is cool!
